Excellent location in Florence! Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice setting of the room and bathroom.

Steps to negotiates to get to the Relais, but it is common in Italy.

This is a delightful small hotel with a perfect location in the heart of Florence. Upon our arrival it was obvious this inn is lovingly managed, so it's no wonder this little jewel is rated so highly by everyone thats stayed there.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a great position and allowed easy walking access to the cities tourist attractions. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere that was a haven to return to in the afternoons for a cup of tea and a sit down before returning to adventuring outside into the night.

The only very minor thing was the shower screen doors would not close properly.

The location is excellent, very close to walk to everything. The service is incredibly friendly and helpful and the room is very comfortable and clean.

the location was excellent, the place was very tastefully decorated, everything a visitor needs, very clean, the owners / staff were most professional, friendly and helpful. It combined self catering with a hotel. Nice touches such as the fresh juice and coffee and pastries in the communal dining area. It was quiet and peaceful within, though you do hear the noise from outside from your bedroom , but this is inevitable for the city centre location, so bring ear plugs or keep your window shut if you have difficulty sleeping. The e mail details from the owers, were very useful and clear and in fantastic English, and the offer of booking tickets for Uffizi etc, was made, and taken up by us. Only ( small ) complaint was that the bed mattresses were rather hard, and I think a foam mattress topper would be welcome for those who would like one . ( such as us , mature couple )

We love this place a lot. But have to bear in mind that this is not a hotel but a warm home. The room is extremely clean and homely decorated. You will meet friends at the breakfast room which gives a relaxing atmosphere. Location is very good. Easy to walk to lots of sightseeing spots. Staff is very helpful.

It is located on the 3rd floor of a building and you have to walk 22 steps before reaching the elevator. Not easy when carrying heavy luggage. (Also, suggest to take taxi from train station if you are carrying luggage.) There are restaurants on the ground floor and a bit noisy at night.

Central location with easy walking access to the well known attractions. A self service kitchen where we could have breakfast or prepare our own meal when we didn't want to dine out.

Every Italian hotel we have been to have hard beds as did Relais Cavalcanti.

Perfectly located in the center of Florence. Easily accesible from every part of the town. Very homy atmosphere. The highlight of the hotel is the kitchen. One can find there everything one need to prepare breakfast or fast snack. Coffee (instant, coffee machine, coffee kettle), tea, toaster, coocker. The bread is supplied, as well as wide selection of buscuits, fruits. Juice, milk, coffee and tea. Cups, glasses go without saying, also plates and other kitchen stuff. The staff was very helpful: the first hotel where we received not only the map with marked attractions, but also handmarked with recommended restaurants, the selection of which proved to be exceptionally good. Regarding the room: very comfortable bed and matraces.

The bathroom could be cleaner. Although the windows are well isolated, the fact that hotel is situated in market square can make it difficult to sleep with open windows, as people are srolling around till late and sellers are starting to set up their stands quite early in the morning (we did not ave this problem because it was chilly and we closed the windows during night). Tv did not have any English or German programms.

The location can not be beat.

The room we had was next to the Kitchen therefore very noisy at 7:30 am. It is in an apartment building so the smell in the lobby was not so great. May stairs to climb!

Perticularly appricieated the 24h open breakfast/snack bar. The room was tastefully decorated. Large walk in bathroom.

There were noisy renovations going on in the building. The street noise was loud at times, especially when the market was being set up or taken down. The casters on the wheeled containers make loud noise in the morning.

The hotel is just a block away from Piazza della Signoria, the location is perfect! Do not worry about how to spot the hotel, the instructions given are very helpful and that thing with the keys to the buidling, the elevator, the hotel and the room is not as confusing as it might seem with the first impression.

I think that it is highly overpriced, given the fact that the reception works only for a few hours a day, there is no breakfast included (although the kitchen is well equipped and there are always some cakes, coffee etc.) and the rooms are quite simple. On the other hand, this is Florence, high demand leads to high prices. About noise, although there are double windows, preventing noises to enter the building from the outside, the fact that there is no staff at night leaves you at the hands of noisy customers who might turn the kitchen into a bar at any time (some rooms are right next to the kitchen, so was ours).

The staff was very friendly and provided us with a detailed map of Firenze, along with their recommendations, upon check-in. The location was superb. Had no problems connecting with the wi-fi.

If you're carrying a bit of luggage, I would recommend a taxi from the main train station. Otherwise, it's a bit of a hike.

The location was very convenient. Some viws were good and the staff were very nice.
